Hilton and Explora Journeys continue their collaboration
Following the announcement of the ambitious Hilton Honors Adventures project late last year, the collaboration between Hilton and Explora Journeys has now taken concrete operational form. Members of Hilton's loyalty programme can now collect and use points outside of classic hotel stays. Specifically, they can use them on luxury cruise ships. How does the new loyalty integration model work
For every dollar spent on a cruise fare, passengers earn ten base points within the Hilton Honors programme. In addition to point accumulation itself, the partnership offers a permanent five percent discount on all Explora Journeys routes. Benefits are directly tied to loyalty card status. For example, Gold members receive exclusive welcome cocktails. On the other hand, Diamond and Diamond Reserve tiers provide onboard credits, private transfers in ports, and specialised tours of ship command bridges. Bookings must be made directly through Hilton's channels to qualify for the stated benefits.
Focus on fleet expansion and new global routes
The commercial launch of this collaboration ideally coincided with the introduction of the new ship EXPLORA III in July this year. Members of the programme have immediate access to reservations for inaugural voyages, as well as a wider catalogue of itineraries. This catalogue includes the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Iceland, Greenland, and the Caribbean region and Central America. Hilton's Chief Marketing Officer Mark Weinstein emphasised that the goal is to provide greater value for points through personalisation. At the same time, Explora Journeys Brand President Anna Nash highlighted that the contemporary luxury market demands complete freedom of choice and recognition of passenger status, whether on land or at sea.
