Air Serbia already exceeded two million passengers in June

Air Serbia At the end of June, specifically three days earlier than last year, it transported its two-millionth passenger in 2026. The total number of passengers in the first six months rose to over 2.06 million. This is an increase of almost 57,000 compared to the same period last year. This result is accompanied by operational strengthening with 23,225 flights completed. This is one thousand more departures than in the first half of 2025.

Focus on expanding the Euro-Mediterranean network and transoceanic routes

The second quarter brought a stabilisation in demand and a 2.69 per cent increase in passenger numbers between April and June. During that period, almost 1.25 million people were carried. For agencies and TMC partners, the key information is about the most sought-after destinations. In the region, these are Tivat, Ljubljana and Podgorica. In the Western European market, Zurich, Paris, Vienna, London, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Milan dominate.

In the wider Euro-Mediterranean ring, the strongest traffic is generated by Athens, Larnaca and Istanbul,. In long-haul traffic, New York still holds the top spot.

New Tools for Agencies: New Destinations and Elevate Programme

The main pillar of this year's strategy is the opening of new routes, which began operating at the end of April. The network has been enriched with attractive tourist and business destinations such as Santorini, Baku, Munich, Toronto, Alicante and Brač.

The company's General Director, Jiří Marek, highlighted that the introduction of these routes demonstrates an early recognition of market needs. Alongside the network expansion, Air Serbia also launched a new loyalty programme in the second quarter called Elevate,. This programme should provide additional benefits for corporate and frequent travellers. This opens up new space for sales optimisation within the B2B channel.
