Croatia Airlines and Zadar partners presented the winter route Zadar – Munich
Croatian national carrier Croatia Airlines, in collaboration with The Tourist Board of Zadar County, To the Tourist Board of the City of Zadar i Zadar Airport, unveiled in Munich a new regular winter service Munich – Zadar.
This is a direct line that will, for the second year in a row, connect Zadar with the largest city in the German state of Bavaria. Flights will operate On Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 28 November 2025 to 6 January 2026.
Connectivity that benefits travellers and the economy
At the presentation in Munich, Marija Pavić, Head of Sales at Croatia Airlines, highlighted that this route strengthens The economic and tourism potential of Zadar County, contributes to more successful business Zadar Airport, but also increases passenger mobility.
„Expanding the network of destinations is a strategic goal for every airport and every airline. With this route, we are further stimulating the development of Croatian transport and tourism infrastructure and positioning Croatia as" all-year-round destination“, Pavić emphasised.
Zadar in its winter guise attracts new guests
Iva Bencun, director of the Zadar Tourist Board, emphasised that the connection with Munich will allow visitors to experience Zadar in a different light.
„During the winter months, our city offers a special experience – peaceful walks through the historic centre, authentic Dalmatian charm, and a rich cultural and gastronomic offering,“ said Bencun, adding that Munich is also an important hub for international travel, which will facilitate the arrival of tourists, as well as travel for local residents.
Director of the Tourist Board of Zadar County, Hrvoje Anić, he pointed out that cooperation with Croatia Airlines will further affirm Zadar as an attractive destination available all year round.
Line Zadar – Munich is part of Croatia Airlines' winter timetable, which includes almost 10,000 flights i over 1.18 million seats – what is 7.7 % more flights and even 21 % more seats compared to winter 2024/2025.
Fleet renewal and new Airbus A220 „Zadar“
Croatia Airlines currently has 16 aircraft, among which is six new Airbus A220-300 with capacity 149 passengers. The latest A220, delivered on 30th August 2025, is named Zadar and already flies on domestic and European routes.
By the end of the year, another is expected to arrive Airbus A220-100 with capacity 127 seats, and the entire fleet renewal will be completed 2027., When will the company have 15 new A220 aircraft.
