APG presents Direct Connect platform in Zagreb
Yesterday, in the pleasant atmosphere of the Hotel International, Zagreb hosted the global network APG Global Associates, which presented its technological leap in airline ticket distribution, named APG Direct Connect, to local agencies. The presentation focused on solutions that simplify the process of booking airline tickets, providing agencies with a more direct route to airline inventory with minimal administrative burdens.
Operational simplicity and direct access to content
The platform is designed with a focus on the daily work of agents. During the presentation, led by Karina Valeeva from APG Headquarters in Paris and Tomaž Kostanjšek, Director of APG Slovenia & Croatia, participants were able to see how Direct Connect functions in real-world conditions, with an emphasis on the speed of document issuance and cost transparency. The advantage of such a system lies not only in the technology but also in the fact that it utilises the strength of the global APG network, which collaborates with dozens of airlines worldwide.

An exchange of experiences in an informal setting.
Following the official part of the presentation and expert questions, participants continued their networking in an informal atmosphere. This was an opportunity for representatives of travel agencies and TMCs to exchange impressions on the challenges they are facing in direct conversation, especially recently. It is precisely these kinds of gatherings that confirm that, despite digitalisation, personal contact and networking remain the foundation of development. tourism industry, and the common conclusion is clear: adapting to new technologies is no longer a choice, but a standard that clients expect.
