Travelnode acquired Rentlio, creating the leading Croatian hospitality-tech group.
Acquisition of Zadar Tenant, Travelnode connects two Croatian technology companies with different, but complementary solutions. Rentlio and Dubrovnik's Phobs are jointly opening up space for the development of an integrated platform intended for hotels, campsites, and private accommodation.
The Swiss hospitality technology group Travelnode has acquired Zadar-based Rentlio, one of Croatia's largest property management software providers. The transaction value and the size of the acquired stake have not been disclosed. Rentlio's founder, Marko Mišulić, will remain at the helm of the company and become a shareholder in the Travelnode group.
This is Travelnode's second acquisition in as many weeks. The group previously acquired Italy-based Podcamp, which specialises in technology solutions for campsites, clearly signalling its ambition to consolidate the European hospitality tech market.
Rentlio and Phobs cover different areas of business
Travelnode already owns Dubrovnik's Phobs, a platform focused on hotel sales, distribution, direct bookings, and connecting with OTAs, tour operators, and travel agencies.
Rentlio has developed into a cloud platform for managing hotels, apartments, and other accommodation facilities. Its tools cover daily operations, process automation, reception work, and guest communication.
By combining these competencies, Travelnode gains a significantly broader technological portfolio. Rentlio and Phobs together have almost a hundred employees and generate over ten million euros in revenue. This positions the group as the leading provider of tourism software in Croatia and Slovenia.
Integrated platforms are becoming a new market advantage

This approach reduces manual labour and facilitates the introduction of automation and artificial intelligence. Phobs will continue to work with larger hotel and camping chains, while Rentlio retains its team, product and identity.
Croatian travel tech enters a new phase

The true effect of the transaction will not, however, depend solely on the size of the group. The key will be how quickly Rentlio, Phobs, and Podcamp can connect their products without further complicating their users' businesses. If they succeed in this, one of the more relevant European hospitality-tech platforms could emerge from Croatia's development offices.
