Spotnana introduces more AI agents to automate business travel
Spotnana's new architecture links specialised AI agents with concrete platform functionalities. The initial tools are intended for travel agents, with additional capabilities for travellers and travel managers expected during 2026.
Spotnana she presented a new AI architecture with more specialised agents and the first functions designed for the work of travel agents. Instead of a single general assistant, the platform distributes tasks among various AI agents, each connected to specific APIs and predefined workflows.
Such an approach should reduce the risk of inaccurate answers and unpredictable actions. An AI agent, for example, does not independently determine the amount of refund or the tariff rule, but uses structured data and existing processes within the platform. For actions involving a financial transaction, user confirmation is still required.
Automating routine tasks
The first group of new tools is aimed at operational tasks that often consume a lot of time for travel agents. An AI agent for service tasks can process cancelled segments due to flight schedule changes, check unissued flight segments, automate refunds, and manage certain types of ticket residual values.
The special agent also takes bookings made outside the Spotnanin system and includes them in a unique travel record. Thus TMC clients gain a more complete overview of bookings, regardless of the channel through which they were created.
AI as support, not a replacement for the agent
Spotnana is also introducing an AI co-pilot that suggests responses to travellers and generates conversation summaries. Additionally, new service reports display task types, their priority, average processing time, and the share of jobs taken over by automation.
For travel agencies and TMCs, the value of this kind of model isn't just in lower operating costs. Automating routine processes can free up agents for more complex itinerary changes, support during disruptions, and client consultations. These are precisely the areas where human expertise still makes the biggest difference.
Open architecture for partners
The new architecture is open for the development of additional agents. Users and technology partners can connect Spotnanine's AI functions with their own tools and internal systems.
This could be particularly interesting for larger TMCs looking to develop their own processes without building an entire travel infrastructure from scratch. Spotnana plans to introduce additional AI features for agents, travellers, and travel managers in the coming months.
