Jet2Villas is expanding its offer with 1,000 villas from Awaze's NOVASOL portfolio
Jet2Villas is introducing 1,000 villas from Awaze's NOVASOL portfolio into its offer. The partnership also includes Croatia, allowing Jet2 to further connect its own flight network with the growing private accommodation segment.
British tour operator Jet2 is expanding its villa holiday programme through a partnership with Awaze, one of Europe's largest holiday accommodation providers. In the initial phase, Jet2Villas will offer properties in Croatia, France, Italy, Spain and the Balearic Islands.
These are four- and five-star villas, all with private pools. The accommodation will be sold as part of Jet2Villas packages, along with Jet2 flights and ATOL protection.
New distribution channel for NOVASOL
For Awaze, the owner of the NOVASOL, James Villas and cottages.com brands, the partnership opens up a new sales channel to the British market.
Properties from his portfolio will now be available to travellers booking through the Jet2 network, which includes 14 departure bases in the UK.
Awaze CEO Matthew Price assessed that the partnership can bring the holiday rental product closer to guests who have not necessarily considered private houses and villas as an alternative to a traditional hotel holiday until now.
Jet2 combines flights and private accommodation into the same package
For Jet2, the benefit is equally clear. The tour operator gains a significantly wider choice of accommodation without having to build a new villa portfolio itself, while at the same time being able to combine the accommodation with its own flights.
John Davis, Product and Retail Director at Jet2, described the inclusion of NOVASOL villas as a major expansion of the existing Jet2Villas programme.
The initial 1,000 properties are not intended to be the final number. The partners announce the further inclusion of new villas and destinations as the cooperation develops.
Croatia gets an additional channel to the British market
Of particular interest to the Croatian market is that Croatia is included in the very first phase of the partnership. This opens up additional access for villa owners in the NOVASOL system to guests who wish to purchase their travel as a single package, rather than booking flights and accommodation separately.
More broadly, the agreement shows how the boundary between traditional tour operator distribution and the holiday home market continues to blur. Tour operators are seeking a wider choice of private accommodation, while large rental portfolios increasingly want access to powerful distribution networks and organised package tours.
