Air Serbia extends partnership with AccesRail and adds new rail connections
Air Serbia has extended its SPA agreement with AccesRail until 30 June 2027. The combined air and rail travel offering has been expanded with connections in Italy, Sweden and Canada.
Three new rail partners
Air Serbia continues to develop its intermodal offering through collaboration with AccesRail, a distribution platform connecting rail and bus services with airfare distribution systems.
According to a notice sent to sales partners, the SPA agreement with AccesRail, carrier code 9B, has been extended until 30 June 2027. At the same time, three new appendices have been agreed for connections via points in Italy, Sweden, and Canada.
The offer includes the Italian high-speed rail operator NTV Italo, the Swedish railway operator SJ, and the Canadian VIA Rail. This gives Air Serbia passengers more options for continuing their journey by train after arriving at selected airports.
One booking for flight and onward travel
AccesRail allows rail segments to be booked and ticketed through distribution processes that are familiar to agents through the airline ticketing process. The content is available under code 9B, making it easier for agencies and TMCs to assemble itineraries connecting flights, trains, or buses.
Air Serbia already offers combinations of its flights with rail and bus routes to over 70 destinations in Europe. More information on available connections and travel rules can be found at Air Serbia pages for connecting flights with rail and bus lines.
Sales manuals with booking rules, fares, and information about individual rail partners are available at on the official AccesRail website.
Special check-in for rail segment
Passengers should be aware that flight check-in and train or bus check-in are handled separately. Check-in for the land segment is available no earlier than 72 hours before departure.
The travel document is downloaded via the page. AccesRail Retrieve Order – Check-in, along with the passenger's name and the electronic ticket number or reservation code.
For travel agencies, expansion means more opportunities to connect destinations that don't have a direct flight. Nevertheless, clear instructions on separate check-in and baggage collection remain key for a smooth journey.
