Air France has opened a new lounge in Terminal 3 of Frankfurt Airport
Air France a new lounge opened in Frankfurt on 1 September, a few months after Terminal 3 began operations. The space of nearly 500 square metres has around 120 seats and is part of the company's investment in the premium experience at European airports.
New lounge for premium passengers
The lounge is located in the Schengen area of Terminal 3 and is open daily from 5am to 9:30pm. Air France operates it in partnership with Global Lounge Network.
Access is available to eligible business class passengers, excluding Business Light fares, Flying Blue Elite Plus members, and qualifying passengers of KLM and other SkyTeam members.
The space includes work and relaxation zones, a soundproof call booth and a dedicated area for Flying Blue Ultimate members. The food offering draws on French cuisine, alongside wines, Champagne and local beers.
Terminal 3 is transforming Frankfurt's premium offering
The new Frankfurt Terminal 3 opened in April, and Air France and KLM moved their operations there at the beginning of June. Fraport estimates that the terminal can handle up to 19 million passengers a year.
During the summer flight schedule, Air France connects Frankfurt to Paris Charles de Gaulle up to five times a day. The investment in its own lounge shows how important the pre-flight experience has become as part of the premium product, especially for business travellers and the corporate segment.
