VRM Days 2026 in Split: Artificial intelligence and technology at the focus of the tourism industry

The fourth edition of the regional B2B conference VRM Days will be held on October 20 and 21 in Split. Experts from the tourism and technology sectors will discuss the application of artificial intelligence, data management, distribution, and the future of short-term rentals.

Split will host VRM Days 2026 on October 20 and 21, a conference dedicated to the professional management of tourist accommodation. After last year's gathering in Zagreb, the event is moving for the first time to Split, where it will gather accommodation managers, travel agencies, technology companies, and international experts in the Technology Park.

This year’s program focuses on issues that directly affect business in short-term leasing. How to increase profitability, better use available data, and adapt sales channels to new technologies? Special attention will be paid to artificial intelligence and its real-world application in everyday business operations.

Can AI and new digital channels change the way accommodation is booked?

The first day of the conference brings an overview of the Croatian market short-term rental in 2026, alongside discussions about business growth, digital visibility and changes in guest expectations.

One of the more interesting topics will be the relationship between artificial intelligence and large OTA platforms. Participants will discuss whether the development of AI technology can increase the share of direct bookings or further strengthen the position of existing distribution platforms.

Among the announced speakers are Sarah DuPre, Simon Lehmann, Krešimir Ćorluka, Tamara Baniček, Jasmin Šabić and Vinayak C. Mahtani.

From large amounts of data to better business decisions

The second day of the conference will be dedicated to the application of AI agents in operational business operations, new booking channels, tax risks, and changes in tourist demand.

Particular attention will be paid to the problem of excessive amounts of information. Today, accommodation managers have at their disposal numerous data, but their real value depends on how successfully they can convert them into concrete decisions.

This is especially important for companies that manage a large number of accommodation units and use various technological solutions in the process.

Technology should make work easier, not complicate it further

The founder of the conference, Saša Bosanac, emphasizes that technology only makes sense when it solves real business problems and leaves more time for guests, employees, and business development.

Practical experiences will be at the heart of this year's edition. In addition to expert lectures and panels, round tables, meetings with company representatives, and informal networking of participants are organized.

For travel agencies and professional property managers, VRM Days thus represents an opportunity to exchange experiences about technologies that are already changing sales, business organization, and the relationship with guests.
