Sixteen Croatian tourism companies presented a premium offer at ILTM Cannes

Croatia strengthens its position on the global luxury travel map

Croatia once again had a strong presence at one of the most important luxury tourism fairs in the world – ILTM Cannes 2025, which is being held from December 1st to 4th. Organised by Croatian Chamber of Economy inside Stories – Experience Premium Croatia, with the support Croatian National Tourist Board, taking part in the fair 16 domestic companies and a total of 40 representatives from the premium tourism sector.

It is an event that brings together more than 9,000 delegates i 2,500 customers from 84 countries, while more than ... is held over four days 100,000 business meetings. ILTM is, essentially, where luxury travel trends are created and where destinations position themselves before the world's most influential agents.

Croatia as a high-value-added destination

For domestic businesses, it says Andreja Vukojević, Director of the Tourism Sector and Head of Marketing and Communications at the Croatian Chamber of Economy, ILTM is an opportunity that cannot be compared to any other format:

“Within just three days, we establish contact with individuals who are otherwise virtually impossible to reach. These are agents who work exclusively with high-paying guests, and whose destination choices directly influence market trends. The added value is the feedback – what partners are looking for, what our strengths are, and where we need to further enhance our offering.”

Participation in ILTM is part of the activities through which Croatia is positioning itself as All-year-round premium destination, in accordance with the Strategic Marketing and Operational Plan of Croatian Tourism.

Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić This highlights that the premium segment is key to sustainable growth:

“An authentic, sustainable, and top-tier premium offering delivers greater added value and attracts guests outside of peak season. ILTM allows us to further solidify Croatia's position among leading Mediterranean premium destinations and demonstrate that we can offer unique experiences all year round.”

Hotels, resorts, villas and experiences – a wide premium spectrum

The Croatian stand is dominated by the offer luxury hotels, island resorts, city hotels and exclusive villas, but also artificial travel organised by Croatian specialist DMCs.

From Lošinj, they are announcing that the interest of international partners is exceptionally high.
Lara Soldičić Vodarić, Sales Director for Leisure and Corporate Segment at Lošinj Hotels & Villas, says:

“We held very productive discussions with partners shaping trends in luxury travel. We anticipate greater international visibility for Losinj and the realisation of new collaborations.”

A number of Croatian DMCs are also participating in the fair, including Croatia Rewind, who present partners with experiences based on local stories, people, and small businesses.

CEO Lukša Malohodžić describes the fair as “Speed dating in 20 minutes”:

“In brief conversations, we discover what truly motivates high-spending guests to choose Croatia. The focus is on authenticity – from skippers to winemakers and small family businesses. When a partner recognises this story, we know that guests will also arrive with the right expectations.”

Gastronomy and Identity: Brand Stories as Added Value

Besides meetings, the Croatian delegation is also strengthening its visibility through gastronomic presentations – from liqueurs and brandies to Bajadera, arancini and candied almonds. All of this is further supported by Stories – Experience Premium Croatia, the identity under which Croatia presents its premium accommodation, gastronomy, and experiences at ILTM.

Message from Cannes: Croatia has something to show – and the public is increasingly recognising it

ILTM Cannes confirmed that Croatia has firmly entered the circle of markets recognised as premium destinations with an authentic, sustainable and sophisticated offering. The strong performance of domestic companies, a wide range of luxury products, and significant interest from global partners further strengthen Croatia's position among the leading Mediterranean destinations.
