Saudi Arabia: Continued development and investment in tourism
Saudi Arabia is implementing an ambitious tourism development strategy as a key part of its economic diversification under Vision 2030. Amaala will offer exclusive wellness facilities, while Trojena, as part of NEOM, will enable year-round skiing and adventure activities. Soudah Peaks will be a luxury mountain resort in the Asir region.
The government is investing in hotels, transport and tourist attractions. Visas have been simplified and hotel licence fees abolished to encourage investment. Cultural and religious tourism are also a focus. Rua Al Madinah will increase pilgrim capacity, while the Islamic Civilization Village will offer an educational and cultural experience.
