Global Travel Advisor Day 2025
Today, 7th May, we are celebrating Global Travel Advisor Day – a day dedicated to tourism professionals who are behind unforgettable journeys and safe adventures. In a world where circumstances are changing rapidly, their expertise and support become invaluable.
What is often forgotten and overlooked is that their role goes beyond planning – they are support in crisis situations, security advisors and guides through the complex world of travel.
Yesterday, my colleague Stefan contacted me to remind me about today and to pass on a message to all colleagues in the region:
Dear colleagues, allow me to introduce you to our day. Try not to get annoyed (I'm telling you, I have a short fuse!), and try to be aware, at least today, that you matter (even if it's just to that one person/traveller - I'm deliberately saying traveller and not client/tourist!), and that this job is indeed a tough grind, and that most of us here are masochists, but that there's also that 'something' you know... that keeps us doing it! Don't let yourselves be beaten!❤🥳
