European citizens in the Middle East urged to register due to security situation
Due to the deteriorating security situation in The Middle East and the closure of parts of the airspace, European governments have called on their citizens in the region to register with diplomatic missions in order to receive security information and any consular assistance.
According to the available data, during the first weekend of March, more than 3,400 flights to seven airports in the Persian Gulf, while some cruises in the region have also been suspended. European citizens are advised to follow the instructions of the local authorities and register their presence with the relevant institutions.
