ECTAA and Travel Ledger Join Forces: A New Payment Strategy for the European Tourism Industry

The European Travel Agents' and Tour Operators' Associations (ECTAA) has partnered with Travel Ledger, a provider of automated B2B settlement solutions within the tourism sector.

The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of secure, efficient, and digital payment strategies among travel agents and tour operators across Europe. This initiative further confirms the shared commitment to the industry's digital transformation, reducing the costs and risks associated with traditional payment methods.

The Travel Ledger platform for automated settlement simplifies claim and payment processes, removes manual processing, and enables fast and cost-effective transactions for travel companies.

The partnership will involve national associations and other industry stakeholders, with the aim of disseminating best practices and facilitating the transition to modern payment methods.

Eric Drésin, Secretary-General of ECTAA, stated: „Modernising payment processes is key to greater efficiency and financial resilience. This partnership brings tangible benefits and solutions to our members across Europe.“

Roberto Da Re, CEO and founder of Travel Ledger, added: „Partnership with ECTAA enables us to further simplify and secure B2B payments, helping all participants in the supply chain manage transactions more effectively.“

The collaboration will encompass joint communication activities, educational webinars, and the presentation of good practice examples at ECTAA meetings and other industry events. Both parties aim to raise awareness and encourage the adoption of digital payment solutions, thereby building a more resilient and prepared tourism ecosystem.
