The Serbian national airline Air Serbia has announced the opening of six new direct routes during the 2027 summer season. The biggest novelty is Miami, which will become the company's third destination in the United States, after New York and Chicago.

Miami brings a new long-distance connection
The first direct flight between Belgrade and Miami is scheduled for May 20, 2027, with two weekly frequencies. The line is expected to be served by wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
The new destination is particularly interesting for travel agencies because it opens up an additional opportunity for travel to Florida, as well as to the wider Caribbean and Latin American region, with appropriate onward connections.
For travelers from Croatia and neighboring countries, Miami could become an interesting alternative to existing transatlantic connections via major European hubs.
Five new European and regional destinations
In addition to Miami, Air Serbia is introducing five routes that will further connect Belgrade with northern and eastern Europe and the Mediterranean.
According to the airline's official announcement, the schedule of the new routes is as follows:

The return of Helsinki to the Air Serbia network is particularly interesting for business travelers, while Menorca expands the company's tourist offering in the Spanish market. Yerevan, Cluj-Napoca and Kishinev bring additional opportunities for regional connectivity.
Belgrade strengthens the role of the regional transfer hub
The new routes are part of the strategy to develop transfer traffic via Belgrade. By expanding the Air Serbia network, the airline aims to attract a larger number of passengers traveling via the Serbian capital to other European and intercontinental destinations.
For travel agencies in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, this means a wider selection of travel combinations, especially towards destinations that do not have a direct connection with local airports.
Whether the new lines will attract a larger number of passengers from the region will depend primarily on prices, the consistency of connections, and the availability of seats on flights.
