Air Serbia and Visa sign strategic partnership: first joint card to arrive
Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, has joined forces with Visa, the world's leading payment card company. This partnership announces the issuance of the first joint, co-branded card, which will be part of Air Serbia's new loyalty programme.
As announced by the company, the new loyalty programme brings travellers a range of benefits and privileges – and not just during travel. A special feature of the new card will be the ability to collect points for everyday transactions unrelated to travel, through which Air Serbia aims to further encourage loyalty and reward its passengers.
„A partnership with Visa, a global leader in the payment services industry, is an important step in improving our services. We are actively working on expanding our premium offering both in the air and on the ground. The first co-branded card will be an important part of a new loyalty programme that brings travellers an even better experience – combining the convenience of everyday payments with travel privileges. We believe this will further motivate travellers to choose Air Serbia,“ said Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.
On the other hand, Visa states that their aim from the partnership is to further strengthen the digitalisation and modernisation of the customer experience.
„It is a great pleasure for us to have formalised a strategic partnership with Air Serbia. As one of the ten oldest airlines in the world, Air Serbia is the nation's pride, and Visa, with its global experience in digital payments, wishes to contribute to new business opportunities. Our common goal is to offer a unique product that combines payment security with the pleasure of travel and added value, both at home and abroad,“ stated Ana Drašković, Vice President and General Manager of Visa for Southeastern Europe.
