Air Montenegro joins Travelfusion's distribution network

Air Montenegro has connected with Travelfusion via a direct API integration. Through this, its fares and ancillary services will become more accessible to travel agencies, online sales channels and corporate booking platforms that use Travelfusion.

Integration is already active via a Direct API connection. Travel sellers connected to Travelfusion can thus search for and book Air Montenegro flights through the existing technology integration, without the need for a separate connection to the carrier. Travelfusion also states that through its API there will be no additional distribution surcharges for this content.

Greater visibility of Air Montenegro outside its own channels

For a relatively small national carrier, the value of a partnership like this lies primarily in reach. Travelfusion lists more than 70 NDC-integrated full-service carriers and over 400 low-cost airlines, while its platform processes more than 150 million booked segments annually.

Air Montenegro currently displays a grid of 15 destinations on its page, including Belgrade, Ljubljana, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Paris, Rome, Zurich, Prague and Bratislava and the seasonally strong market of Tivat.

Greater presence within aggregator and corporate booking systems can therefore be particularly relevant for inbound traffic to Montenegro, where a large portion of demand comes from international markets.

Distribution is becoming a more important part of smaller carriers' strategy

Air Montenegro describes the partnership as part of its digital distribution strategy. According to the company, the integration should enable wider availability of fares, ancillary products and services through Travelfusion's partner network.

In a broader sense, the move shows that direct-connect distribution it is no longer reserved only for the largest European carriers. For smaller companies like Air Montenegro, it can be a relatively quick way to increase international sales visibility without building a separate integration with each individual sales partner.
