The volatile geopolitical situation in the Middle East continues to shape flight schedules, with the latest victim of prolonged uncertainty being the long-announced route between Amman and Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regional instability has once again forced airlines to be cautious and reconfigure their network of destinations. Royal Jordanian<\/a> He has made the decision that the start of regular air traffic on the Belgrade \u2013 Amman route will be postponed until March 2027. Although this line was intended to more strongly connect the Balkans with the Middle East and open new channels for travel agencies and corporate travel, security challenges and market uncertainty have prolonged the plans of the Jordanian national carrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For domestic and regional tour operators<\/a> For travel agencies, this delay means the need for rapid adjustments to already sold or planned arrangements. Royal Jordanian has therefore defined clear rules for handling passengers and groups from cancelled flights to minimise pressure on the distribution chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flexible options and commercial rules for agencies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To alleviate operational issues for agencies, the airline has offered several solutions for affected bookings. The first option involves rebooking passengers on the first available flight after the route is officially established in Spring 2027. In this scenario, agencies and passengers will not be charged any penalties or fare differences, provided the same travel class (cabin) is maintained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For customers who do not wish to wait until next year, the option of issuing a non-refundable voucher (EMD voucher) for the value of the ticket itself is available. This voucher is valid for one year from the date of issue and can be used for any other journey within the Royal Jordanian network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Refund and alternative route rules within the network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to refunds, the carrier grants a full refund for all completely unused flight tickets. In the case of partially used tickets, a refund will be issued for the unused portion, specifically for the inbound fare component together with the applicable airport charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
