According to data released by the WTTC (World Travel &amp; Tourism Council), international traveller spending in 2025 surpassed pre-pandemic levels for the first time, reaching a colossal $2 trillion. In this context, Spain has emerged as a European leader, successfully attracting almost 97 million visitors with a very high average spend. With an average spend of $1,344 per visitor, <a href=\"https:\/\/tragento.com\/en\/category\/destinations\/\" type=\"category\" id=\"1\">Spain<\/a> It significantly surpassed the European average, which stood at around $1.068. This has cemented its third place on the global tourism revenue rankings, just behind economic giants like the United States and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Such a result was the product of a specific strategic focus on international markets, whose consumption in Spain has traditionally been stronger than that of domestic guests. For industry professionals \u2013 from travel agencies to hoteliers \u2013 these figures then suggested unstoppable growth, but today's perspective shows that achieving such numbers has become considerably more difficult given the changes in traveller habits who, in 2026, will again become more price-sensitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-tehnologija-kao-alat-za-zadrzavanje-efikasnosti\">Technology as a tool for maintaining efficiency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the key factors enabling Spain's dominance in 2025 was its long-term investment in infrastructure and the digitalisation of the passenger experience.
