From January to September, 616 foreign cruise ship arrivals were recorded, which <a href=\"https:\/\/podaci.dzs.hr\/2025\/en\/\">It represents a six percent increase compared to the same period last year<\/a>. With more arrivals, the number of passengers is also growing. In the first three quarters, Croatia was visited by about 858,000 cruise passengers, an increase of 4.1 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This trend confirms Croatia's strong position as one of the most desirable Mediterranean destinations. Although many countries in the Mediterranean are experiencing stable growth, the Croatian Adriatic stands out particularly due to its combination of natural beauty, safety, historic cities, and developed coastal infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dubrovnik and Split continue to hold the largest share of arrivals. In the nine months of 2025, Dubrovnik recorded 457 arrivals, maintaining its status as the country's most visited cruise destination. The Old Town, protected by UNESCO, remains a strong draw for travellers seeking historical attractions and picturesque seaside streets. Split is the second most important centre with 244 arrivals. The combination of Diocletian's Palace, a vibrant city rhythm, and proximity to the islands maintains stable demand among cruise passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And while Dubrovnik and Split are well-known destinations, smaller Adriatic gems are also seeing increasing growth. Zadar concluded this year with 179 arrivals, and Kor\u010dula and Hvar are now appearing more frequently on international cruise companies' itineraries. Kor\u010dula attracts guests with its intimate, medieval atmosphere, while Hvar offers a perfect combination of natural beauty and a modern Mediterranean vibe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An increase in arrivals is important for Croatian tourism, but also for local communities that are increasingly developing offerings tailored to cruise ship passengers. In many destinations, infrastructure has been improved, excursion offerings have been expanded, and additional tourist facilities have been introduced to alleviate strain on the most popular areas and distribute tourist traffic more evenly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The increase in the number of cruise ships also brings a new dynamic to the business of travel agencies, DMCs and local partners. More ships mean a greater number of enquiries for excursions, transfers and short experiential trips, which opens up opportunities for new products and collaborations. Furthermore, an increasing number of companies are including Croatian islands and smaller ports in their routes, giving domestic service providers the chance to offer more authentic and personalised experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This trend is expected to continue in the coming years. The Croatian coast remains a safe destination with a clear identity and a strong emotional experience for travellers. It is precisely this combination of history, nature, and the simple Mediterranean rhythm that makes the Croatian Adriatic one of the most recognisable cruising routes in the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the growth dynamic continues, Croatia could more firmly establish itself as one of Europe's leading cruise destinations \u2013 both for large ships and for the growing segment of smaller, boutique cruisers seeking more authentic and tranquil ports.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hrvatska obala ove godine do\u017eivljava jedan od najdinami\u010dnijih perioda u kruzing turizmu.
