These are the first two-level trains that will operate through the <strong>Channel Tunnel<\/strong> and the British rail network, marking the beginning of a new phase in the development of international rail transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new fleet will be called <strong>Eurostar Celestia<\/strong>, inspired by the Latin word <em>celestial<\/em> (celestial). The trains will be built according to Alstom's platform <strong>Avelia Horizon<\/strong>, known for its high energy efficiency and modular design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-vise-prostora-i-novih-destinacija\">More space and new destinations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each 200-metre set will have approximately <strong>540 seats<\/strong>, what is <strong>20 percent more<\/strong> compared to existing trains. In an extended 400-metre formation, it will be able to carry more than <strong>1,000 passengers<\/strong> after driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new Eurostar Celestia will be interoperable on the network encompassing <strong>five countries<\/strong> which Eurostar currently connects \u2013 the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany \u2013 with plans for expansion towards <strong>Geneva<\/strong> i <strong>Frankfurt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-pocetak-prometovanja-2031-godine\">Commencement of operations 2031<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first trains are expected to be delivered in <strong>January 2031.<\/strong>, while <strong>commercial rides planned for May of the same year<\/strong>. In the first phase, six new trains will be in service, and by the end of the decade, the fleet should grow to a total of <strong>67 furnishings<\/strong> \u2013 30 percent more than today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eurostar will maintain its entire fleet in London <strong>Temple Mills Depot<\/strong>, which will be upgraded with an investment of around <strong>80 million euros<\/strong>. The project will also open approximately <strong>350 new jobs<\/strong> in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fokus-na-odrzivost-i-udobnost\">Focus on sustainability and comfort<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Celestia trains will be <strong>fully electric<\/strong> I am made of <strong>97 percent recyclable materials<\/strong>, with 25 percent of components already coming from recycling. Special attention has been paid to accessibility, comfort, and quietness of the ride. Suggestions have been incorporated into the design <strong>Putnika, association for persons with disabilities<\/strong> team members of the Eurostar team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201eThis is a golden age for sustainable international travel, and Eurostar is leading the change,\u201c she said <strong>Gwendoline Cazenave<\/strong>, Chief Executive Officer of Eurostar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Henri Poupart-Lafarge, Alstom's CEO, added that the new train \u201eembodies the vision of sustainable and competitive European mobility\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-novi-poticaj-za-europski-turizam\">New impetus for European tourism<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Increased capacity, new destinations and a premium travel experience make Celestia an important step for European tourism.
