{"id":12146,"date":"2026-08-12T21:41:59","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T19:41:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tragento.com\/?p=12146"},"modified":"2026-08-13T12:13:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T10:13:10","slug":"ryanair-is-introducing-google-ai-into-its-operational-processes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tragento.com\/en\/ryanair-uvodi-google-ai-u-operativne-procese\/","title":{"rendered":"Ryanair is introducing Google AI into its operational processes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>A five-year agreement with Google Cloud will cover 35,000 employees, while Ryanair plans to use artificial intelligence for operational decisions, <strong>logistics <\/strong>and greater resilience of IT systems.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ryanair has taken a new step in the digitalisation of its operations. <a href=\"https:\/\/tragento.com\/en\/category\/aerospace-industry\/\" data-type=\"category\" data-id=\"95\">Airline<\/a> has entered into a five-year partnership with Google Cloud to introduce Google's cloud, AI and collaboration tools into the daily work of around 35,000 employees. The technological infrastructure is also intended to support the carrier's ambition to reach 300 million passengers annually by 2034.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-ai-za-posadu-odluke-i-odrzavanje\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI for crew, decision-making and maintenance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the centre of the collaboration is Gemini Enterprise, a platform through which Ryanair aims to develop its own AI agents and automate part of its business processes. The focus is not only on office tasks. The technology should help with operational decision-making, flight crew scheduling and managing traffic disruptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Reuters, Ryanair plans to use Google DeepMind\u2019s AlphaEvolve and WeatherNext models as well. Their application could cover algorithm optimisation, fleet maintenance planning and better use of meteorological data in operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-dual-cloud-smanjuje-tehnoloski-rizik\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dual-cloud reduces technological risk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The broader technological context is particularly interesting. At the end of July, Ryanair extended its partnership with AWS for an additional five years, including the use of AWS cloud and AI solutions for scheduling, digital pilot processes and other operational functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Google Cloud does not replace AWS, but instead becomes the second major pillar of infrastructure. Such a dual-cloud approach reduces dependence on a single service provider and can increase system resilience in the event of technical issues. For a company of Ryanair's size, that is not just an IT issue. System availability directly affects flights, crews, communication and passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-ai-postaje-operativna-tehnologija-aviokompanija\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI is becoming operational technology for airlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead of artificial intelligence remaining primarily a tool for chatbots, marketing or customer support, it is entering airline operational planning.
