New data from Amadeus and UN Tourism also show a broader shift in interest towards Central, Eastern and Northern Europe.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"h-dok-spanjolska-ostaje-medu-najtrazenijim-i-najrezerviranijim-europskim-destinacijama-najveci-rast-trenutacno-dolazi-iz-drugog-dijela-europe\">While Spain remains among the most sought-after and booked European destinations, the biggest growth is currently coming from another part of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the report <em><a href=\"https:\/\/connect.amadeus-hospitality.com\/hubfs\/Travel%20Insights%20UN%20tourism%20report\/UN_Tourism_Report_May_2025_April_2026_Europe.pdf\">Travel Insights 2026: Focus on Europe<\/a><\/em>, published by Amadeus and UN Tourism, the number of bookings for the Czech Republic rose by 181% compared with the previous year. Iceland is in second place with growth of 111%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The data fits into the wider recovery of the region. International tourist arrivals in central and <a href=\"https:\/\/tragento.com\/en\/category\/destinations\/\" data-type=\"category\" data-id=\"191\">Eastern Europe<\/a> they grew by 6% in the first quarter of 2026, while Europe as a whole recorded growth of 4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of particular interest to the Czech Republic is that this interest is not only visible in searches. Demand is turning into actual bookings, which is a far more important signal for hotels, incoming agencies and destination organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-putnici-traze-alternativu-poznatim-turistickim-centrima\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Travellers are looking for alternatives to well-known tourist centres<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results point to a continuation of the diversification of European tourism demand. Travellers are increasingly looking at destinations that combine culture, city break offerings, nature and the possibility of travelling outside the main summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A similar trend is seen in tests. Switzerland and Sweden record a 36% increase, Denmark 34%, Ireland 33%, Belgium 32%, and Norway 31%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This does not mean that the Mediterranean is losing its dominant position. However, competition for the European tourist is becoming broader, especially in spring and autumn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-japan-otvara-dodatnu-priliku-za-europski-incoming\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Japan opens an additional opportunity for European incoming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another important signal comes from Japan. Searches for European destinations from that market have risen by 621%, while the number of bookings is up by 191%. In Central and Eastern Europe, booked traffic from Japan has increased by as much as 281%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For <a href=\"https:\/\/tragento.com\/en\/category\/tourism-industry-2\/\" data-type=\"category\" data-id=\"143\">tourism industry<\/a> that might be even more important than the destination ranking itself. The growth of the Czech Republic shows how quickly quality accessibility, a clear market position and an offering outside the traditional summer season can change demand flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a signal to destinations that still rely almost exclusively on the peak season that future growth may not come just from a greater number of beds, but from a better reason to visit throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u010ce\u0161ka bilje\u017ei rast rezervacija od 18% na godi\u0161njoj razini i predvodi europske destinacije prema dinamici potra\u017enje.
