For<a href=\"https:\/\/tragento.com\/en\/category\/tourism-industry-2\/\" type=\"category\" id=\"208\"> regional travel industry<\/a> This is not just sports news, but a prime example of how top sporting results are translated into long-term economic value and capacity utilisation outside the main summer season. The official routes, presented at Ljubljana Castle, reveal the details of the championship which, over six competitive days, will bring together the elite from 51 countries and attract more than 16 million television viewers through the Eurosport and EBU channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-logisticki-izazov-i-balansiranje-lokalne-infrastrukture\">Logistics challenge and balancing local infrastructure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"p-rc_0f2d709b2c2f5ea4-42\">Unlike classic championships, the Slovenian organisers have introduced a significant change to the competition structure: road races will be held in the first part of the programme, while time trials have been left for the finale. The main co-hosts of this project are the City Municipality of Ljubljana and the Municipality of \u0160en\u010dur, but the route passes through a total of 12 municipalities, including Kranj, Medvode, \u0160kofja Loka and Kamnik.<sup><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Championship Secretary-General Toma\u017e Poljanec pointed out that the course has been designed to combine a sportingly attractive terrain with logistical feasibility. Given that the championship is being held just one week after the World Championships in Montreal, the organisers have consciously located the event base in close proximity to Jo\u017ee Pu\u010dnik Airport and highway junctions to facilitate transit for national teams arriving from over-oceanic flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-brdo-mozjanca-kao-kljucna-takticka-tocka-prvenstva\">Mo\u017ejanca Hill as a key tactical point of the championship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"p-rc_0f2d709b2c2f5ea4-43\">Although there were fears that the course would be extremely tailored solely to Slovenian climbers, the technical profile remained dynamic and open. Nevertheless, the course profile undoubtedly favours riders who are adept at tackling steep ascents. The key test of all the races will be the Mo\u017ejanca climb in the municipality of Preddvor, 2.1 kilometres long with an average gradient of 10.21%, the final metres being the steepest.<sup><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"p-rc_0f2d709b2c2f5ea4-44\">The elite men's race, scheduled for Sunday 4th October, will be held over a distance of 196.3 kilometres, with competitors facing the Mo\u017ejanac climb on five occasions.<sup><\/sup> The women's elite race (Saturday, 3 October) will be 130 kilometres long with two passes of the same hill.<sup><\/sup> Since the summit of the final climb is located approximately 13 kilometres before the finish line in \u0160en\u010dur, decisive attacks for the European title are expected at precisely this point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-trzisni-potencijal-i-sinergija-s-turistickim-sektorom\">Market potential and synergy with the tourism sector<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"p-rc_0f2d709b2c2f5ea4-45\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tragento.com\/en\/category\/destinations\/\" type=\"category\" id=\"1\">Slovenia <\/a>This project enters from the position of a cycling superpower. Tadej Poga\u010dar will defend his European Championship title on home roads, and Primo\u017e Rogli\u010d will also compete in the national team alongside him, while Ur\u0161ka \u017digart will lead the women's team. For the local tourist board (STB), the presence of global sporting icons represents the strongest possible marketing tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"p-rc_0f2d709b2c2f5ea4-46\">From the perspective of the tourism sector, organising an event like this in October (outside the summer peak) directly fills accommodation capacity across various categories \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/tragento.com\/en\/category\/hospitality\/\" type=\"category\" id=\"570\">from luxury hotels in Ljubljana to boutique glamping and tourist farms in the Gorenjska region<\/a>. The entourage, comprising around 800 competitors and 500 support staff, along with thousands of fans arriving in the region, will generate a significant number of overnight stays and non-accommodation spending.
