Ausl\u00e4ndische Reiseveranstalter, Online-Reiseb\u00fcros (OTA) und Reiseb\u00fcros, die touristische Dienstleistungen auf <a href=\"https:\/\/tragento.com\/de\/kategorie\/reiseziele\/\" data-type=\"category\" data-id=\"191\">Malediven<\/a> Sie fallen in den Anwendungsbereich der lokalen GST (Goods and Services Tax \u2013 die lokale Mehrwertsteuer), auch wenn sie keine Betriebsst\u00e4tte im Land haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Malediven wollen einen gr\u00f6\u00dferen Anteil des durch den Verkauf ihrer Tourismusprodukte erzielten Wertes im eigenen Steuersystem behalten. Am 18. August verabschiedete das Parlament mit 64 Stimmen \u00c4nderungen des Gesetzes \u00fcber die Steuer auf Waren und Dienstleistungen; die neuen Regelungen sollen am 1. Oktober 2026 in Kraft treten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-sto-je-zapravo-gst\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was genau ist die GST?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die GST (Goods and Services Tax) l\u00e4sst sich am einfachsten als das maledivische \u00c4quivalent zur Mehrwertsteuer beschreiben. Es handelt sich um eine Steuer auf Waren und Dienstleistungen, wobei auf den Malediven eine Sonderregelung f\u00fcr den Tourismus gilt. Die Tourismus-GST (TGST) wird ab Juli 2025 17 Prozent betragen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bislang bestand das Problem darin, dass ein gro\u00dfer Teil des Tourismusangebots von Unternehmen au\u00dferhalb der Malediven verkauft wird. Ein Resort kann beispielsweise Unterk\u00fcnfte zu einem vertraglich vereinbarten Preis an einen ausl\u00e4ndischen Reiseveranstalter verkaufen, w\u00e4hrend das endg\u00fcltige Pauschalangebot dem Touristen in einem anderen Land zu einem h\u00f6heren Preis angeboten wird. Genau diesen au\u00dferhalb der Malediven geschaffenen Mehrwert wollen sie nun im Rahmen ihrer Steuervorschriften deutlicher erfassen. Das Finanzministerium k\u00fcndigte diese Ausrichtung bereits im Haushalt 2025 an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-porez-prati-destinaciju-a-ne-adresu-prodavatelja\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Die Steuer richtet sich nach dem Bestimmungsort, nicht nach der Adresse des Verk\u00e4ufers.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Im Mittelpunkt dieser \u00c4nderung steht das sogenannte Bestimmungslandprinzip. Einfach ausgedr\u00fcckt: Wird eine touristische Dienstleistung auf den Malediven in Anspruch genommen, m\u00f6chte das Land das Recht haben, die entsprechende Transaktion zu besteuern \u2013 unabh\u00e4ngig davon, ob der Anbieter in Mal\u00e9, London oder Frankfurt ans\u00e4ssig ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das bedeutet, dass das <a href=\"https:\/\/tragento.com\/de\/kategorie\/tourismusbranche\/\" data-type=\"category\" data-id=\"143\">ausl\u00e4ndische Reiseveranstalter, Buchungsplattformen und Reiseb\u00fcros<\/a> M\u00f6glicherweise waren sie verpflichtet, sich im maledivischen Mehrwertsteuersystem registrieren zu lassen. Die MIRA sollte ein vereinfachtes Registrierungs- und Steuerzahlungsverfahren f\u00fcr Unternehmen ohne physische Pr\u00e4senz einf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-za-distributere-ovo-nije-samo-porezno-pitanje\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">F\u00fcr H\u00e4ndler ist dies nicht nur eine steuerliche Frage.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Regierung sch\u00e4tzt, dass diese \u00c4nderung j\u00e4hrlich rund 1,6 Milliarden maledivische Rufiyaa einbringen k\u00f6nnte, was zus\u00e4tzlichen Einnahmen von etwas mehr als 100 Millionen Dollar entspricht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">F\u00fcr die Tourismusbranche ist jedoch noch wichtiger, was auf operativer Ebene folgt. Reiseveranstalter und Online-Reiseb\u00fcros (OTAs) m\u00fcssen pr\u00fcfen, wie sich die neuen Vorschriften auf Vertr\u00e4ge mit Ferienanlagen, Preisangaben, Margen, Provisionen und die Steuerberichterstattung auswirken. Da die Umsetzung am 1.
